| Do you love Jesus, horses, and working with kids? Are you between the ages of 13 -17? Then check this program out! Our Ranch Hand Program is a leadership program which teens volunteer for our summer camp ministry. Training involves 1 week of intense physical, mental, and spiritual training. If you are selected as a ranch hand you will then make a commitment to ministering for a minimum of two weeks throughout our summer ministry programming. If you are interested in this program YOU (not your parents!) must call Mrs. Michelle at the ranch in February to request the application packet. |
| Ranch Hand Job Description |
- Is a Christian in word and deed
- Must have attended ranch hand training
- Sets a good example personally
- Keeps their appearance tidy
- Keeps their personal living space tidy
- Assists in arena: helping campers mount and dismount,
- Keeps horses and campers calm
- Knows emergency procedures
- Helps with ranch maintenance
- Learns to work as a team
- Learns leadership skills
- Improves horse handling and riding skills in the arena and on the trails
- Desires to go deeper in their relationship with the Lord
- Is flexible and willing to do their personal best at whatever task is given to them

| This is a leadership building program that promotes excellence and a strong work ethic. It is a program for high school graduates (18 or older) interested in furthering their education and experience in both horsemanship and childrens ministry. The ranch internship encourages interns to build their walk with God as they assist in every aspect of the Ranch ministry. Included in this program are room and board, leadership training and development, and riding lessons. This is a 15 month program.(June - August all interns will be participating in the summer ranch camp schedule.) |
- Is at least 18 years old
- Is a born again believer desiring to mature in the Christian walk
- Meets ranch hand qualifications
- Is active in herd management: able to care for and manage the health and well-being of the ranch animals
- Actively involved in ranch team ministry – assisting with kid, teen, and adult retreats, clubs, Bible studies, etc
- Helps with ranch maintenance (which may include, but not limited to: barn and ranch chores, bunkhouse cleaning, cooking, etc)
- Assists with all groups using the ranch facilities
- Works as an assistant program director (in training) will be learning to lead, program, advertise, promote, and assist ranch activities
- Works on growing and stretching themselves personally in areas such as: time management, Bible knowledge, people skills, and communication.
