| You'll never see a finer herd that the one we've got at Whispering Hope. Each horse comes with its own personality and story but every one of them are just itch'n to get out on the trail with you! |
| Boo |
This is one of our oldest yet best horses, Boo. Boo is a dun colored Grade horse mare (a mare is a girl horse). A grade horse is a mix of many different breeds, like a mutt. She has a white blaze on the front of her face and pretty eyes. |
| Chance |
We'd like you to meet one of Whispering Hope Ranch's top trail guide horses, Chance. Chance is a beautiful Paint Quarter horse gelding (a gelding is a boy horse) that came to the Ranch when he was just 1 year old. |
| Cody |
And now it's time to meet the most playful horse on the Ranch. Cody loves to play any kind of game, whether it is with other horses or with the staff. He never ceases to please people with his antics. |
| Comet |
If anybody wants a horse to come and just pet and talk to for a long time that is sweet, this is that girl! Comet is a chestnut Quarter Horse that loves attention and just loves to be loved. |
| Dakota |
We'd like to introduce you to Dakota. Dakota is a sorrel colored Haflinger gelding (a gelding is a boy horse). He has a white blaze on the front of his face and he looks like a small draft horse. |
| Flash |
Amazing! Obviously the fastest horse ever! He has the appropriate name, right? Well, we can't say that Flash is the fastest horse ever, but he is a very good trail horse. |
| Hoss |
This is the horse that Ms. Michelle claims as the most beautiful horse on the Ranch. That's mostly because he is her horse and she loves him very much. |
| Lacy |
Who is fairest in all the land? Well, Lacy is, of course! Lacy is our beautiful chestnut purebred Arabian. Chestnuts are reddish brown, depending on the shade of brown, and the mane, tail, and muzzle are all the same color as the horse's body. |
| Lady |
Lady is becoming a fast favorite at the ranch. Her personality fits her name very well, she is every bit a lady, and yet she has just enough spunk to be a fun ride. Also Lady is covered in freckles, especially on her eyelids. |
| Lily |
Lily is our Fleabitten mare, but that doesn't mean she's infested with fleas! It simply means that she is white with a whole lot of brown freckles that make her appear that way. |
| Midnight |
Midnight is a black Quarter Horse gelding (a boy horse) with a little white sock on his back right leg. He has been with the ranch for many ranch summer seasons. |
| Poco Pony |
Come meet the cutest of our horses here at the Ranch. Poco is short enough to be a pony and that makes him very cute and a favorite of many who visit the ranch. |
| Rocky |
This is a horse that needs no introduction, for surely everyone knows the famous horse Rocky. But maybe you don't know much about Rocky, so we'll tell you about him anyway. |
| Shiloh |
This is the horse that Melissa claims as the best…because he is her horse. Melissa has worked with Shiloh on making them a team and Shiloh had become a very good guide horse on trail rides. |
| Socks |
We'd love to introduce you to our horse Socks. Socks is a big black Quarter horse gelding (a gelding is a boy horse), but not a true black. In the summer his fur turns brown in some spots and so his color is really a dark, dark brown. |
| Sparky |
We'd like you to meet one of our missionary horses, Sparky. A missionary horse is a horse whose owners allow us to use it for our kid's camps and other activities. |
| Spirit |
Here's another of our playful horses at the Ranch. This bay (brown body, black mane, tail, muzzle, and legs) half Arabian and half Quarter Horse loves to romp and play with his pals out in the pasture all day long. |
| Sunny |
Here's a horse that's got a lot of character and can keep everyone who visits the Ranch entertained for a long time. He just has a special way of making a person smile and is one horse that anyone would love to have as a friend. |
